GEALAN Lift-Slide door now availabe with aluminium cladding

The GEALAN lift-slide-door is now available with clip-on aluminium cladding. This variation allows for the construction of lift-slide-doors with the typical anodised aluminium colours.

The aluminium cladding is delivered in a neutral colour and can be coated by the window manufacturer in any desired colour. The decisive advantage of clip-on cladding lies in the combination of colour choices (painted, anodised or powder-coated) and the aliminium material. The resulting durability and long life grants planners and architects a wide choice of uses in both commercial and residential construction.

Coloured lift-slide doors are of course also available from GEALAN-supplied manufacturers in a large selection of acrylcolor hues. The coloured profiles have been manufactured for almost thirty years, made with the coextrusion technique for an unbreakable bond between the vinyl and acryl layers.

Many advantages for window manufacturers

Window manufacturers wishing to make windows with aluminium cladding no longer have to deal with two different suppliers – the neutral-coloured aluminium cladding are also available directly from GEALAN. The shells for the doors are painted, anodised or powder-coated at the manufacturer\'s site. This provides for a maximum on flexibility. Smaller orders are not a problem.

The new aluminium cladding also offers the GEALAN manufacturer other advantages. Not only is it possible to make lift-slide doors in all standard shapes and sizes, the doors also can be made with the same hardware and gaskets as before. Furthermore, GEALAN lift-slide-doors can be made with panes of up to 44 mm thickness. Starting in autumn 2009, GEALAN also will offer a new glazing bead with seals extruded into the profile, allowing for even larger panes of 46mm thickness.

GEALAN aluminium cladding is available not only for the lift-slide door, but also for select profiles in the S 7000 IQ and S 8000 IQ systems. Aluminium shells are also available for the roll shutter elements RAE plus in 155 mm and 195 mm height.
