Our environmental commitments
We belong to the following organisations
GEALAN works with several partners to help promote environmental programmes. To better advance our goals in environment, we are members of the following organisations:
| B.A.U.M. Bundesdeutscher Arbeitskreis für Umweltbewußtes Management e.V. |
|
| The Federal Working Group for Ecologically Responsible Management is Europe's first and only economic initiative for the environment. Over 500 member companies stand for a modern, integrated and environmentally responsible management. | |
| Bund Naturschutz in Bayern e.V. | |
| The Coalition For the Protection of Nature with
over 160,000 members is the largest environmental protection association
in Bavaria. It is independent of political or religious groups, and
works to conserve a healthy environment and natural living resources.
GEALAN is not only a member, but is also an important sponsor of the
local chapter in Hof since 1999. See also: EMIL |

| Umweltpakt Bayern - Nachhaltige Wirtschaften im 21. Jahrhundert | |
| The Environmental Pact Bavaria stands for a voluntary agreement between members of the Bavarian economy and the Bavarian state government to promote environmental protection. | |
| Club of Wuppertal | |

| Rewindo | |
| Together with other leading vinyl profile manufacturers, GEALAN co-founded Rewindo as the successor to FREI, the previous window recycling association. The young company is made up of the former members of FREI and the company VEKA AG. It thus covers approx. 80% of the German vinyl window market. | |
| Vinyl 2010 | |
| With Vinyl 2010 the European vinyl industry has entered into a voluntary commitment to encourage sustainable development and to realise its recycling goals in the long term. | |
| AgPU | |
| The Working Cooperative for PVC and the Environment has made it their task "to bring PVC and all environmental protection concerns into harmony". This has resulted in, among others, the founding of several PVC recycling programmes. | |
| PVC plus | |
| PVC plus is an initiative of the PVC branch to better inform the public about how PVC is used in recreation, medicine and construction. | |
| ÖAKF | |
| ÖAKF is a platform made up of the most important system providers in the Austrian market. It stands for manufacturer-independant information about vinyl windows. It requires the recycling of old windows and this the fulfillment of the voluntary commitment of the European market. | |
