Lots of fun and refreshing ideas for the whole family - under this motto, GEALAN Fenster-Systeme invited the entire Tanna and Oberkotzau staff and their families to the company grounds in Oberkotzau.
After more than ten years of summer celebrations at the Thuringian location in Tanna, the employees could now celebrate again at GEALAN headquarters. And this was well received, because in addition to a comprehensive tasting programme, GEALAN experts guided interested visitors through the technology centre that opened last year. And the rush was huge. From the early afternoon until the evening, the ultramodern application technology centre, the tool shop and the environmental technology centre could be viewed. As a highlight after the company tours, there was a raffle: in addition to e-bike excursions and shopping vouchers, there was also the chance to win "Parking in the boss parking lot" for a month, which was great fun.
Another highlight, in addition to the many play programmes for young and old, was the publication of the new GEALAN magazine "GEANOVA" for all employees. Over 40 pages, GEALAN takes a look behind the scenes of many departments and puts the people at GEALAN in the centre of attention. Exciting reports, background information and interviews give a very personal insight into the world of GEALAN. Partying and dancing went on deep into the night until around 11 pm when the last of the more than 750 visitors made their way home.

On 23 and 24 September the industry will be looking to Berlin, where the VFF window and facade association will be hosting its 2021 annual conference. This industry meetup considers itself a large networking event, with a spotlight on personal interaction. The contents will focus on digital solutions for manufacturers, planners and users. But the topics of sustainability and climate protection will also be high up on the agenda of the two-day event. These future topics also play a major role for GEALAN, predestining the plastics system provider as a sponsor.
For over ten years, the GEALAN planner software has offered window manufacturers, architects and dealers digital support in planning, tendering and quotations for windows. Now, the proven online tool has a new useful function on board that promises all users additional planning security: Version 2.0 of the planner software now features a U-value certified by the ift Rosenheim institute for window technology, including their logo, on demand.
GEALAN has digitalised its in-house toolmaking: Where it once took cumbersome interfaces and a great deal of paper to build tools, data is now being processed and provided in real-time. Thanks to new efficient processes, GEALAN will be capable of designing and producing new tools much closer to the final quality in future. Digitalisation in internal toolmaking will save GEALAN a great deal of time and money in future.
