Planersoftware 2.0: Try out calculation modules for free

For over ten years, GEALAN’s Planersoftware has offered window manufacturers, architects and distributors digital support in planning, tendering and quotations for windows. With its wide range of functions, this proven online tool makes day-to-day work easier for many planners. Window manufacturers and distributors can try out premium paid calculation modules in Planersoftware 2.0 for free from now until 30 April 2022. This requires prior registration for the software.

Which modules will make your work easier for you?

The premium functions in Planersoftware 2.0 are now unlocked for registered window manufacturers and distributors and can be used for free until the end of April:

“Sound assessment” module:

• Technical analysis and output of db values
• Rating of the sound insulation value with the product installed
• Different options in accordance with EN 14351-1, DIN 4109-35 and GEALAN test results

“Static predimensioning of fastening points” module:

• Static predimensioning of fastening points
• Output of forces per fastening point
• Technical template for fastening suppliers

“Glass dimensioning” module:

• Static predimensioning of the vertical glazing used
• Testing of wind load and horizontal payload on configured glass and constructions
• Maximum tension and bending according to climate impact and load distribution for multi-pane insulated glass according to Prof. F. Feldmeier and DIN 18008-2

How does the free trial work?

For window manufacturers and distributors registered in Planersoftware 2.0, the otherwise paid additional functions are unlocked in the software and can be used free of charge until 30 April. No additional registration or downloads are required. After the trial period is up, the modules will be locked again and can then only be used once a corresponding license has been purchased in the DBS shop. Registered users who have already purchased licenses for the calculation modules will automatically receive an extension to their license period for the free function trial period.  

You're not using GEALAN Planersoftware 2.0 yet? Then you’ll have to register for the digital planning tool first. Once you have registered, you’ll have access to the basic and premium functions for your planning.

What happens when the trial period is up?

After the trial period is up, a lock icon indicates to users without a valid license that they can no longer use the corresponding premium functions. If you want to continue using the function to dimension sound, fastening points or glass, a description of how to purchase the appropriate license in the DBS shop is provided in the software.
