Planner software 2.0: ift Rosenheim certifies U-value calculation

For over ten years, the GEALAN planner software has offered window manufacturers, architects and dealers digital support in planning, tendering and quotations for windows. Now, the proven online tool has a new useful function on board that promises all users additional planning security: Version 2.0 of the planner software now features a U-value certified by the ift Rosenheim institute for window technology, including their logo, on demand.
According to the German Building Energies Act (GEG) calculated proof of thermal insulation must be provided for each construction project. The degree of thermal insulation is determined by the thermal transmittance coefficient, including for windows.
In version 2.0 of GEALAN’s planning software, the relevant Uw-value can now be determined, certified by the ift Rosenheim institute for window technology. A logo of the internationally recognised test laboratory confirms that the values have been determined reliably and are accurate. The ift logo is both visible and can be printed when calculating the benchmark value Uf relevant for window profiles as well as when printing the Uw-value in documents for planned elements. Before certification by ift Rosenheim, the software indicated that the U-values were calculated in accordance with the applicable standard DIN EN 10077.
This new feature was introduced with the latest update of version 2.0 of the planning software. Certification by the ift test laboratory gives GEALAN partners maximum planning security using the digital tool.
The ift logo is automatically displayed when calculating U-values. Using the logo on the final printout of planner data takes just a few clicks within the software. This video shows you just how uncomplicated the setting is:
